Night at the Roundtable
Pine Bush Chamber Honors Sheri Herbert

There was a big turnout for the September Roundtable of the Pine Bush Chamber of Commerce. On a pleasant September evening, the chamber gathered at All Things Delicious, in the Gateway Plaza behind the Clever Caterpillar on Main Street. Serving up coffee, tea, and a variety of tasty sweets and treats were Clever Caterpillar's Doug Drossel and his daughter Emily.

Among those in attendance were June Shepard of June Shepard Real Estate; Wayne and Kathy Joray of Quilter's Attic; Cheryl Wolfe of Cheryl Wolfe Realty; Barbara Stohner of Provident Bank; Domanie Ragni, Pine Bush Unit Director of the Boys and Girls Club; Brenda Otto of Personalize It; Dave Smith of R.J. Realty; and Philip Steinberg, the new Pine Bush Superintendant of Schools.

Discussion ran the gamut from the real estate situation in Orange and Ulster Counties to the geology of the area and how it affects drilling operations by Karen Mills' Alfala Well Drilling.

The high point of the evening was provided by the unveiling of a plaque for the names of past presidents of the chamber, and that meant, of course, Sheri Herbert of Walden Savings Bank, the chamber's first president. Herbert herself was given her own special award since she had done so much to get the chamber up and running.
