At the intersection of Route 209 and Deepam Lane in Ellenville a person or group of persons vandalized a Hydro Aluminum sign by spray painting the word, "Liars" on it. The sign, saying "Hydro Aluminum - Growing with our community" is at odds with the corporation's March announcement that it would be closing its extrusion facility and eliminating 262 jobs. The plant will soon begin its "ramp down" measures and be closed within a matter of weeks.
