Registration is continuing for the fall semester at Ulster County Community College, which begins August 28. The following dates have been set aside for Instant Admissions: Tuesday, July 25; Tuesday, August 1; and Wednesday, August 9.
Interested students should bring a copy of their official GED or high school transcript to the Admissions Office in Vanderlyn Hall on the college's Stone Ridge campus. The SUNY Ulster application for admission may be completed online or during a visit to the Admissions Office. Applicants will receive their admission decision on the spot.
Students and family members are encouraged to attend an Admissions Information session at 10 a.m. on any of the Instant Admissions days. Placement testing, which is required prior to registration, will be held at 1 p.m. on those days. Testers should allot at least 3 hours to complete testing.
SUNY Ulster's Financial Aid Office staff is available on Instant Admissions days to assist prospective students in completing financial aid paperwork. Individuals seeking financial aid should bring copies of their 2005 income tax returns and W-2s and those of their parents, if applicable.
The fall 2006 schedule of classes is available online at sunyulster.edu. Course descriptions can be accessed on the college's website, in addition to an admissions application that can be completed and submitted online. Those who wish to take one or two courses without financial aid and without seeking a degree or certificate may call 1-800-724-0833, ext. 5075, to register.
For further information, call the Admissions Office at 1-800-724-0833. The Admissions Office is open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to meet with prospective students.
